| Della has been a superb foundation bitch for our program. I purchased her directly for Brenda Dennis of Osea Kennel. My late Father let me borrow part of the money to purchase her which meant the world to me. My Dad always teased me that Della was his. I purchased Della because I realized that I needed more show quality and style in my dogs. I really wanted good health and temperament because so many of my puppy buyers wanted Service Dogs and Therapy dogs. Brenda's health was failing at the time although she didn't let me know. She actually mentored me from her hospital room. I remember her telling me that I needed to purchase the Poodle Variety magazine so that I could learn more about pedigrees and showing. Della produced pups just seem to melt the hearts of their families and I often hear feedback like "This is the best dog I have ever known!" Della is a good Black that held here dark black color into her later years. Her coat is a glorious plush coat that rarely tangles and is super thick. Several of her puppies were kept for show and breeding and the great temperament and health is being passed on. Della is Ruger's Dam (see stud page.) We will always love our Della and her legacy lives on in our hearts. |
